MyKayla Searles-Houston is the Center Director for the U.S. Dream Academy at Hartsfield Elementary and a dedicated leader in youth development. A Dallas native who moved to Houston in 2016, she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Houston and a master’s degree in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center. Her work is grounded in building authentic relationships with students, families, and community partners.

MyKayla is passionate about creating inclusive, healing-centered spaces where young people and practitioners can grow, connect, and experience joy. She brings compassion, patience, mindfulness, and authentic leadership to every space she facilitates. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys practicing and teaching yoga and creating simple, playful moments that help people feel present, safe, and restored.
